In the hectic activity of a move it is easy to forget to eat right, but here are some easy and healthy snacks to keep on hand.
Quick tip: Snacks for moving day
Some great ideas for dry snacks you can just grab a mouthful of in the car or in between loads are almonds, cashews, pistachios and dried fruit. Don’t leave them in their original packaging, instead use Ziploc bags which can reseal and can also fit inside your pocket. If nuts aren’t your thing, you can use baby carrots or even celery sticks instead.
Speaking of celery, wouldn’t it be great to have some peanut butter to go with them? No problem. Just take a peanut butter jar that is filled about 1/3 of the way and then push celery sticks into the peanut butter and reseal. Now you can get a delicious peanut butter dipped celery stick without making a mess.
For something a little lighter, try sugar-free cereals such as Cheerios. You can use baggies or avoid smashing by using cups with lids.
Finally, depending on your taste you can fill a plastic jar with either cottage cheese and fruit or plain yogurt with berries. These simple snacks will help keep you energized until the last item is unloaded.
