How to move with a cat
Our feline friends can react badly to change. So here are some easy tips to help reduce stress and help your cat make the transition to a new home.
Quick tip: How to move with a cat
Before the move keep your cat’s routine as normal as possible. Also, leave the carrier you will be using for the move out for a few weeks prior to the move. Make sure it has a soft bed inside and occasionally add treat to encourage your feline’s interest.
Next, on the day of the move close your cat in a bathroom with their essentials. Don’t feed too much before transit to prevent an upset stomach.
During transit do not open the carrier. Wait until you set up the food, water, bed and litter box in a quiet room. The cat should stay in this room for a few days until they are comfortable with the new smells and sounds.
